Joe Morgan Is At It Again
I watched bits and pieces of the Yankees thrashing of the Red Sox last night and I wanted to share this absolutely maddening Joe Morgan moment. Year after year PbPers, online chatters, and blogs ask Morgan to offer just one opinion based on facts. Every year he goes an entire season without doing so. Here is example 13,324 of said practice.
During the eighth inning Erin Andrews was doing a piece on David Ortiz' struggles and how he got multiple phone calls telling him to keep his head up. At the end of the piece she asks Joe what advice he has for Ortiz. Joe of course has no answer. Let's gooooooooo to the videotape.....

And why doesn't Joe have an answer to the question? Because he needs to watch his at-bats. Let that sink in for a second. How have you not seen any Ortiz at-bats this year WHEN WE'VE BEEN SUBJECTED TO THEM FROM EVERY MEDIA OUTLET FOR THE PAST THREE WEEKS?!?!?
Not only does he say he needs to watch more at-bats, and his swing more closely, but he also states that he watched him tonight and two games in Cleveland. What the hell?!?! That's 15 at-bats alone this week!!!!
You are paid to offer your damn opinion Joe. He's either trying to hard, he's too old, or his leg is still bothering him. Pick one.....it's that easy. You're seriously driving me insane.
