SNF Live-Blog: Patriots @ Chargers, Pre-Game
This is not the face of the man that NBC was likely expecting to see at quarterback when the network scheduled this game. Of course, they weren't expecting the Chargers to be 2-4 either. However, this game shouldn't be too bad. I can think of worse contests to have lined up.Things we're learning from the late games:
- That whole Denver being good on defense was a one-week deal only, good against Tampa Bay. Jacksonville is tearing them up and three turnovers by the Broncos haven't helped matters.
- Andy Reid is a bonehead. Who kicks the long field goal instead of taking a knee when you're up just before half? Karma bitchslaps the Eagles as the Niners took that blocked FG to the house and they took a solid lead into the 4th. Mike Nolan is equally dumb by challenging a field goal.
- If you bet Arizona, thinking Dallas was treating it as a trap game (I did!), you look really good right now. Arizona's up by 7.
- The Pack is ahead and driving on Seattle -- a team continuing to prove its worthlessness on a weekly basis.
