Emmitt Smith: "Terrell Owens Is Not A True Cowboy

After the Cowboys beat the Eagles on Monday night back in week two, Emmitt Smith seemed to be in love with T.O. during a postgame interview, but apparently that wasn't the case. Smith was on Sports Center early Sunday morning to answer emails on-air when a comparison question caused him to take a shot at Owens. Via Fanhouse....
Sportscenter has Emmitt Smith on every Sunday morning to talk about football; yes, he is by himself, but it's early enough where he can only do so much damage. While he's on, some anchor asks him questions posed by reader emails. How spicy! Not really, but it was kind of interesting to get his take when someone wrote in to ask how, paraphrasing, the trio of Tony Romo, Terrell Owens and Marion Barber compared to Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin.I guess if anyone is qualified to dub someone a "True Cowboy" it's Emmitt, but I really don't know why he would single out T.O. like that. I'm also getting annoyed with how Emmitt keeps using the word "we" when he's referring to the Cowboys and how he acts like he is still employed by the team. I still think Emmitt is terrible, but he has improved a bit this year, and if ESPN is planning on sticking with him.....they might want to get that under control.
After laughing a little bit and dogging the younger crew, Emmitt pointed out that: Terrell Owens is not a true Cowboy.
