Hockey fans out there in Internet land, maybe you can help me figure this one out. It's certainly the weirdest thing I've ever seen in hockey. 


When Mikko Koivu loses his own stick at 00:03, he takes a second to look down at it and decide, "hrmrmm...screw it, I'll just rip one out of Bobby Ryan's hands, even though he's a righty and I'm a southpaw." Strange enough in itself, I would think. But poetically enough, what transpires next takes strange to the next level and can only be described as instant karma. 

The announcers have to take a couple looks at this thing and who could blame them? Once in a lifetime play right there.
