From the way of the Crossover Chronicles, here's comedian playing reporter, Jason Sereno, stepping into the octagon for a sparring session with the NBA's Al Harrington. There's a slight athletic mismatch here as Harrington out-everything's him by a significant margin. Unfortunately for Sereno, Harrington beats on him like he was asking for his beach cruiser back. Yes, the video and sadly the punch were I'm sure faked, but I definitely laughed watching it.
I love that Sereno is wearing socks and a green button up while throwing short jabs at Harrington. Those jabs remind me of those almost completely pointless low kicks from Mortal Kombat that did no damage.
Buck's voice issue is, in some ways, reminiscent of ABC's insistence on bringing Dick Clark back to do his New Year's Rocking Eve shortly after a stroke. It was sweet and all, but his inability to speak was, sadly, really distracting.
Buck and McCarver are the worst announcers in baseball and Fox put them on every time there is a top game on the network. Please fire them as fast as you can and get someone that at least studies today's players and can make some insightful comments. McCarver as said that he does not watch baseball except for the game he is announcing, you can tell by his lack of knowledge of the current players and the current game of baseball.
Sorry, Buck has been a twerp for too long to get any credit here. Asking if Timberlake if his movie is "any good" was about the best he could do. He's lead a charmed life and never hesitates to let us know it. I think his voice situation is a pox from the Higher Power, I would guess.
What about the fact that they were plugging a movie called "Friends with Benefits" during the All-Star game. How would you like to be a parent and explain what that means to your 10 year old?
@dlicious Definitely. I almost thought about commenting on that at the time... God forbid you let your 7 year old stay up til 940.. 840... 740.. 640 whatever time it was where you were to see his favorite player and he has to sit through that commercial about porn.
Makes me hope technology comes a little further before I have little ones... oh.. and mine will be watching soccer so they'll be very little ads to worry about :).
