The Top Ten Most Entertaining Sports Media Clips

Written by Ben Koo on .

Last week, we learned that one of our favorites, Brian Kenny, will be leaving ESPN. A personal favorite of mine, I mentioned to a friend how I watched his infamous interview with Floyd Mayweather live when it happened and have probably re-watched it ten times since. That says a lot as the clip is 13 minutes.

My friend hadn't seen the clip in question so we fired it up and once again I reveled in the back and forth and Kenny's ownage of Mayweather. After 13 minutes, my friend uttered the words "I want to see it again, replay it."

This got me thinking, what are the sports media clips with the most entertainment longevity? I'm sure I am missing some classics but here are ten that often help me to procrastinate the day away in no particular order.

1) Jim Everett Attacks Jim Rome

Do you respect Rome more or less because of this incident?

2) The Joe Buck Show Unravels Thanks To Artie Lange

There really hasn't been this much drawn out awkward carnage on live television maybe ever. So memorable that this is only half of the fun with part two here. Seriously this is is just amazing.

3) Ichiro Shares His Favorite American Saying On Costas Now

Who do you think told Ichiro this expression?

4) Boom Goes The Dynamite

Everyone has terrible days. It's not good when it happens on television though.

5) Chris Berman Not Happy With People On The Set

I once had this idea that all employees should follow the lead of MLB managers. 3-4x a year you would get to go absolutely ape shit at work, make an ass out of yourself, say terrible things, and get to come back to work like nothing happened. Berman is obviously taking that liberty already.

6) Brian Kenny Does A Number on Floyd Mayweather

This clip doesn't get old... Mayweather ducking Pacquiao does though.

7) Clips of The Most Entertaining Coach In The World

This guy had a lot of videos on the web. Probably one of the few reasons to do sports media in the state of Montana.

8) Mark May Pretends To Be Lou Holtz Giving Jimmy Clausen Fellatio

The only moment in life I've ever liked Mark May.

9) Norm MacDonald ESPY'S Open

It's not overly hilarious, but it's just ridiculously risque for ESPN. You'd never see this on modern day ESPN.

10) Rich Eisen Doing The 40

They do this every year but you know what else happens ever year? The NFL video gestapo takes down the videos. This year's one was better but you'll watch this and like it.

That's our list, what are your favorite all-time sports media clips?

we all know craig james is a douche. but what suxx is how ESPN has clear and irrefutable evidence from depositions and emails showing their analyst was unethically and improperly trying to influence their stories and/or create story... and they did nothing. espn has lost all cred.

Another SMU cheat/liar from youth thru adulthood....probably will make a really good politician. He is the poster child for what a douche is.

Craig James has the "I am protected syndrome" but he has grown to be a pain in the ass to most intelligent people. Reading his deposition just make you wonder if ESPN just knows how stupid he really is.

I know Tech does not know how dumb Hance & Bailey are. But trust me their time is coming!!!

Craig James ESPN should fire you. They should also do more research before they strap on a story that has ruined a coach's career and good name. Craig I hope you and the PR firm you hired have good lawyers because you are going to need them. The PR firm would like for all TTu fans to know that season ticket sales are way up since Coach Leach was fired. But, what they don;t tell you is that they have added 20,000 new seats to their stadium. How do you think the new stadium upgrades were paid for? Ten years of winning seasons and bowl games. Thank You Coach Leach!

When the incident occurred, I emailed Disney, ABC and ESPN and nobody had the decency to respond. I do hope that Craig is fired and he deserves to be, but I do not think anybody above him has the gonads to do that.

Tech has gotten a mediocre coach who wants desperately to go back to the semi ivy league SEC with their white helmets. Tech also has a new Athletic Director who is waiting for the Miami debacle to settle down. Hance can really pick winners. He is the only person to offer Alberto (I can't remember) Gonzales a job after he was fired by W. Bush after he lied to congress. And, then he paid him $100,000.00 a year to teach one course. I am sure the real professors at Tech loved that.

Tech will be scraping the bottom of the Big 12 for quite a while (until the conference disintegrates after Texas A and M leaves).

If ESPN did as much research as you guys did, they might not be in this conundrum. Considering the actions of Craig James, if I was his boss, he would be given his walking papers, this guy is trying to use his position to get what he wants, let's face it, if you were actually that knowledgeable about football, you would have a job with a school, not trying to run down a coach that you may not like or is just unhappy with the fact that his kid had a concussion. The only valid reason I could see for Feldman getting suspended or whatever ESPN wants to call it is that James had some very good oral skills ;).

Craig James will be fired, I'm sure of it, Leach got his revenge on him. The way he'll get it on Hance, Bailey, and some of Tech is by winning a national championship. In Buffalo Wild Wings, or some other place, when he comes on, you duck. Good luck James.

GaryWilkie, that is not true. Mike Leach made the '08 team a machine and they finished 11-2. Craig James is an idiot, but Leach will coach somewhere else, probably a small school like Tech in '99 and make THEM a powerhouse. Hance didn't want them to win national championships, so they won't. They would've won in '10. But Tuberville will bring it home. By the way, A&M SUCKS!!!!!

Right on. Finally the truth is coming to light. I hope those who continue to bash Leach enjoy the mediocre team we have now.

Face it, Tech lost their best Coach and now we are back to the days of Page 3 of Newspaper Sports pages and 2 televised games a year.

Mike Leach is an idiot. He made $3 million a year for going 8-5 each season and screwed it up by being an insufferable ass to his employer.

Craig James is an idiot too, but in the end he crushed Leach under his foot like a GI Joe action figure. Leach's career is over.

And Texas Tech simply used an opportunity to rid themselves of a classless bore who somehow became God's gift to coaching while losing four or five games each year.

@GaryWilkie Just see how much fun Tech football will be from now on. You refer to him as an "idiot" well--I think he brought great fun to the games with the Air Raid. Do you like anyone?? Maybe you like Tubby ! Wait until this season is over to brag on Tubby. His first season was poor considering his players. Getting beat by Texas at Jones Stadium was a disgrace. That was the worst Texas team I have ever seen--but they beat Tech.

Craig James may be the only person in history to play a huge part in taking down not one but two great college football programs. One has taken decades to "recover"-- 8-5 and the first bowl game in 25 years thanks to a Leach-type miracle worker named June Jones. The other, Texas Tech, will quickly go back to Big 12 irrelevancy after years of exciting overachieving football with a coach who could turn "chicken $shit into chicken salad." The only coach capable of shocking the college football world by upsetting the Sooners or Longhorns in a given year,

with mid-major talent. Hats off to the whole entitled James family, especially little Adam, who has learned well from his privileged daddy. And Tech alums can start "ponying up" big $MU-type money if they want to lure any blue chips to Lubbock. Only The Pirate was capable of winning honestly in Lubbock on a regular basis. Tubby, a good coach, is going to need the kind of "alumni generosity" Craig James enjoyed at SMU to get stud high school players to even consider The South Plains over Austin. Red Raider boosters may have to dig extra deep just to have a chance now that ESPIN has signed their bizarre conflict-of-interest sister deal with UT... the MACK-TV network. "Craig James and ESPN... Where Integrity Is Just A Slogan!"
