Bad news for fans of douchebags and hypocrites, your boy, Mariotti, just got charged with three felonies. Mariotti is charged with felony stalking, domestic abuse and assault charges after he confonted his ex-ladyfriend once again. These charges are another strike against Mariotti and further proof of his habitual "off the field" problems. If convicted, Jay faces 5 years in prison.
Even though the chances were already slim of Mariotti making a comeback, these new charges will definitely serve as the final "mute" of his TV career.
I actually enjoy listening to Sean Elliott and Bill Land. I get sick of the media bias that comes along with pretty much every other network broadcast. And if you wanna talk about bad announcers, let's give Jeff Van Gundy, Mark Jackson, and Mike Breen some attention!
With the way digital radio/tv is heading, it would be sweet if there were a set up where you could choose your broadcast team. Default is the National NBAtv crew, but you could choose the radio announcers of the visiting or home team, or anybody else who's calling the game.
Omg, really?? the people who are whining about the broadcasters have obviously never watched a tnt or espn( a joke of a channel) broadcast of a Spurs game. All those announcers can talk about is the othr team, they go so far as to interrupt themselves to cheer when the other teams score( they cherr and shout loudly), but when SA scores they calmly describe it. All you whining fans need to grow up, and shut up.
No matter how much you try and keep things biased, it'll never work and people will never be happy. I could care less if it was LA's announcers or spurs announcers (me being a spurs fan). All I know is that Non-Biased Announcing does not exist. It hasn't ever existed as far as I've been able to tell. So is it worth everyone huffing and puffing about it? No. Okay, okay. So you pay a premium price for the service. Fine. But you're still getting pretty much every game from every market, NBA LP Broadband access, NBA LP STATS Access online and etc and so forth. All for a measly, what? $120? something around that ball park. With it being an 82 game season, having viewing access to 30 teams schedules and about 3 different ways for you to catch the game, you end up getting your moneys worth. Is that enough to cry, bitch, and moan? Not at all. Put on the game, mute your television, and listen to the radio broadcasts at the same time (which can be heard from either perspective), and enjoy the game.
