Kobe was fined 100k, so I would expect Noah to be fined the same amount. If David Stern does more or less, I'm sure there will be an outcry from somewhere. If there is one difference in this situation though, Noah is directing his comments towards a (likely heckling and obnoxious) fan and not on the bench about a referee. Does that make it more or less acceptable? Probably not. One thing though is that a month after Kobe's comments, Noah's slur comes in the midst of Phoenix Suns President Rick Welts coming out and publicly stating that he is gay as well as an ESPN Radio host in New York, Jared Max. Slowly but surely, the tide is turning and sports is catching up to other parts of society in terms of awareness and acceptance. Hopefully this is the last of these videos we have to see.

I agree 100%. As far as the current NCAA set up is for CBS/Turner Gus Johnson is very fortunate to be calling the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 rds. True he has some of the best end of game calls of all time, but they are a little overblown in how great they actually have been. Body of work wise.. I watch a lot of college hoops throughout the year and live in Big Ten country. Gus is on a lot of those midweek Purdue-Penn St tpye of games and frankly he does not do his homework. He gets names, numbers, scores, and backstory botched way to much to be a #1 guy on CBS. If I was in putting together the order for next year based on this years results.
b) Lundquist / Raftery
Gus can be entertaining, but his shouting wears on me. No one claimed Vin Scully was not exciting enough. Do those folks need someone to tell them the game is really close?
