Ortis Deley was the British television presenter (that's what they call their studio hosts across the pond) for Channel 4's coverage of the IAAF World Track And Field Championships from South Korea. That was until he actually started hosting the championships and was discovered to be one of the worst live anchors in the history of televised sports. This compilation of Ortis' work is a smorgasbord of screw ups with something for everyone. Missed lines, botched names (including his co-workers), rambing incoherence, and awkard pauses are just the beginning...
The host of The Gadget Show was unceremoniously dumped by Channel 4 in Britain due to "hundreds of complaints." (I wonder why that never works with Fox baseball.) The quick demise of Deley's career as a studio host was reported by the UK Guardian...
Channel 4 has dropped Ortis Deley as main presenter of its coverage of the world athletics championships following hundreds of complaints from viewers.
Deley, previously best known as one of the hosts of Channel 5's The Gadget Show, has struggled in the live presenting role and was described by Giles Smith, a critic at the Times, as wearing an "expression that brings to mind furry creatures and headlamps"Furry creatures and headlamps, wasn't that the title of Terry Bradshaw's first album? Maybe it was Tim McCarver...

Much of the major accusations in the Yahoo piece already being debunked. You look like a chump here at Awful
Do any of you really see the truth? What I see is pictures of Shaprio with Miami players or are they still Miami players? There are ZERO DATES on the pictures. The receipts show in the article have ZERO players names on them. The SOURCES are all UNNAMED.The Federal government files handed over had ZERO convictions for any current or former UM player involved in the ponzi scheme."Financial ties" could mean anything, and the FBI certainly doesn't have any experienced knowledge of NCAA rules.I just read a story that stated an ENTIRE accounting firm took 12 months digging up information for a court on the Shapiro case and said his records "were in disarray and disorganized".So You are telling me One guy,one guy did the work an entire accounting firm with reputable experience,in 11 months Robinson also worked on other stories.
By the way,I am a Washington Huskies fan,but I had to say something because this is sensationalism at it's best.
I hate Jason Whitlock he is an attention whore, but he kind of hhas a point on this..I just listened to the podcast Whitlock makes valid point
To see the level of depth, evidence, and quality journalism the Miami story is, compare it to the "investigative" piece Mike (?) Fish of ESPN wrote trying to tie potential/alleged recruiting violations in the relationship between an AAU team and the Indiana Hoosiers. Fish spent months on the story, came with nothing close to the solid facts Robinson did and basically wrote a kitchen sink story full of infrences and implications, full of omissions, and woefully short of facts.
Robinson deserves credit for investigating in depth and finding the sources and facts instead of writing a hit piece that other WWL "journalists" would. Whitlock just comes off as a higher paid internet troll.
And to think, Fox Sports paid this joke over $2 million for three years. Seems like Whitlock is the one scheming...
I've actually agreed with Whitlock on occasion... but in this case he's proved himself to be nothing more than a racist fool.
Had he the guts he would have come out and directly stated the thought that was fluttering about in his mind - which is: "NO white man should ever be allowed to write a negative column or story that focuses on a single, or group, of black men. Any white writer penning such a story is doing so only because he wants to keep the Black Man down."
And... had Robinson been a black man, I have little doubt Whitlock would use some variation of the 'Uncle Tom' theme in describing Robinson's reasons for 'attacking' Miami and the players.
Of course if Whitlock would put some effort of his own into this story, he might ask: "why is a white Jewish man (Shapiro) buying black men with a few dollars and whores? And why is it that so many at the U turned a blind eye to this cancer?" That's the real racism, if there is any.
