Joakim Noah: Videobomber extraordinaire

Written by Matt Yoder on .

In spite of Sunday's loss to the Thunder, the Chicago Bulls have been doing quite well without reigning MVP Derrick Rose in the lineup.  And, in spite of being much less hyped than the Miami Heat, they sit on top of the Eastern Conference standings by 3.5 games with the best record in the NBA.  Perhaps that's why Joakim Noah was in such a good mood this weekend as evidenced by the video below.  As CSN Chicago's Gail Fischer gives a report in the tunnel, she mentions the great play of the Bulls center in a victory over the Pistons as he happens to be walking right behind her.  Once Noah hears his name, he drops some very impressive dance moves in videobombing the report.  Noah's performance really is Dancing With the Stars worthy.  It makes you wonder how he could look so awkward on the basketball court.  Maybe Joakim should shelve the gun dance indefinitely and go with interpretive dance for his next on-court celebration...

Okay cool thanks for filling me in on that Daniel Ormsby, it looks like that for Moutainwest Basketball on NBC Sports Network that Ted Robinson is their #1, Steve Schlanger is their #2 and Paul Burmeister is their #3 PBP man now!

For those of you that were curious, a total of 9 of the 20 broadcasters that worked Championship Week for DialGlobal and Westward One worked 2-3 Conference Championship games in the span of a week, while Kevin Calabro worked 4 Conference Championship games in the last week!

This is including Alaa Abdelnaby working as the analyst for the Patriot League Championship game for DialGloab and Westward One on site on Wednesday and than going to work in the CBS Sports Network studio coverage on Friday!

@CUbsfan Mark Kestecher (1st Round & Quarters Day) and Bill Rosinski did play-by-play for the ACC Tourney on ESPN Radio. Bob Valvano was the analyst for all the games.

For the Big 12 Jon Sciambi did play-by-play while Will Purdye did the analysis for ESPN Radio.

The Big 10 on Compass Media did mixed rotations with Drew Bontadelli and Matt "Money" Smith on play-by-play while Mike Wozniak and Tim Hardaway did analysis.

Sigh, I could have told you that since I watched the game. Bob Piccozi was the play-by-play man with LaPhonso Ellis for the America East Championship game.

Adam Amin and Stan Lewter are the broadcasters for ESPNU's coverage of the SWAC Championship game tonight, now all that we need is the PBP man for the America East Tournament Championship on ESPN2 today!

Maria Taylor was the sideline reporter for the MountainWest Championship game on NBC Sports Network today!

Ted Robinson is working the MountainWest Championship game with Blaine Fowler for the 3rd year in a row!

now we just need the PBP man for the AmericaEast Championship game on ESPN2 and the broadcasters for the SWAC Championship game on ESPNU!

Anyone know who the broadcasters were for the BIG 12 Women's Tournament on FSN??

For the women's PAC-12 Tournament semifinals and Championship game on FSN Laura Mckeeman was the Social Media Host and worked the studo show with Ann Meyers and Lisa Leslie, Jim Watson and Mary Murphy were the broadcasters, does anyone know who the sideline reporter was for the games??

Brad Nessler and Jimmy Dykes just annouced during their broadcast of the SEC Tournament 2nd round that Dave Neal and Kara Lawson will be working the SEC Tournament 2nd round games tonight and that they and Shannon Spake will be back to work the SEC Tournament Semifinals and Championship game for ABC this weekend, which leads me to believe that Brad Nessler and Jimmy Dykes worked the SEC Tournament 1st round games Thursday during the day!

Don't forget that ESPNU will have the 2nd Big West Tournament Semifinal live tonight either!

I just found out how Kevin Calabro can work both Dial Global Radio's coverage of the Mountainwest and WAC Championship game on Saturday, it is because both Conference Tournaments are in Los Vegas!

@CUbsfan I hadn't been on to read the comments until today, but I could have clarified that for you more than a month ago. The MWC tourney is at the Thomas & Mack Center. The WAC Tourney is at the Orleans Arena. They are located about 5 blocks from each other, and the 2 games start 5 hours apart, so even if the MWC game goes into Overtime, as long as it doesn't go past roughly 11:30 EST, then he can still do both.

Next year will be even more interesting. Apparently the Pac-12 is going to move their tourney to Vegas next year. So next year you'll have the WCC, the MWC, the WAC, and the Pac-12 tourneys all in Vegas. Vegas already hosted more conference tourneys than any other city. Why don't the Big West and Great West just move their tourneys to Vegas and give Vegas all the D1 conference tourneys?

Don't forget that Ernie Kent is a 2nd analyst for a couple of minutes of the 2nd half of every PAC-12 Tournament game on FSN this year though too!

From what it sounded like during yesterday afternoons coverage of the 1st 2 1st round games of the 1st ever Pac-12 Tournament on FSN it sounds like that Kevin Calabro and Don Maclean will be working the 2 PAC-12 Tournament Quarterfinal games Thursday during the day, meaning that Steve Physioc and Marques Johson will be working the 2 PAC-12 Tournament Quarterfinal games Thursday night and both of the PAC-12 Tournament Semifinal games Friday night!

CUbsfan
CUbsfan

I know that Jim Nantz,Clark Kellogg and Steve Kerr will be calling the Big Ten tournament Semifinals and Championship game for CBS this year, it wouldn't suprise me if Verne Lundquist and Bill Raftery call the Atlantic 10 championship game together for the 3rd year in a row, it also wouldn't suprise me if Dan Bonner was the analyst for the Conference USA championship game or Bob Wenzel was the analyst for the PAC-12 championship game for the 4th year in a row either!

@CUbsfan because Raftery is calling the Big East title game the night before with Jay Bilas & Sean Mcdonough. Atlantic City is a 2 hour drive from NYC.

I have a question, which of the 2 Conference Tournaments that he is listed as a PBP man is Kevin Calabro really working for Dial Global radio this coming Saturday??

Because they have him listed as the PBP man for the MountainWest and Wac Championship game on their College Basketball schedule page!

You forgot to list Holly Rowe as the sideline reporter for the Big 12 tournament semifinals on ESPNU on Friday and to list Rebecca Haarlow as the sideline reporter for the 2 day games of the Pac-12 tournament tomorrow!

Did you know that Laphonso Ellis has been the analyst for ESPN's coverage of the last 3 Big South Tournament Semifinals and Championship games, this would be the 3rd year that Len Elmore has worked the ACC Tournament Quarterfinals on Friday night and 1 of the 2 ACC Tournament , he also worked the 1 ACC tournament 1st round game and the 2 ACC quarterfinals during the day the last 2 years too, this will be the 3rd straight year that Brent Musburger, Bob Knight and Holly Rowe has been the sideline reporter for the big 12 tournament Championship game, this will be the 3rd straight year that Brad Nessler and Jimmy Dykes have worked the SEC tournament Semifinals and Championship game and the 2nd straight year that Shannon Spake has worked as their sideline reporter, this will be the 2nd straight year that Dave o'Brien and Dan Dakich have worked the 2 1st round and the 1st 2 quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament, this is the 2nd straight year that Dave Flemming and Sean Farnham have worked the WCC Semifinals and championship game together!

this will be the 3rd straight year that Dan Shulman has worked the 2 ACC Quarterfinals Friday during the day, the ACC Semifinals and ACC championship game, this will be the 3rd year that  Sean Mcdonough, Jay Bilas and Bill Raftery will have worked the Big East tournament at night and had Doris Burke as their sideline reporter for the Big East semifinals and Big East Championship game, this will be the 2nd straight year that Dave Pasch and Doris Burke will work together during the Big East Tournament 1st round, 2nd round and quarterfinals during the day, the only difference last year was that Fran Fraschilla was a 2nd analyst working with them,  this will be the 2nd straight year that ESPNUhas had Tamika Raymond as the analyst for the women's Sunbelt and SWAC Championship game, it will also be the 3rd year that Beth Mowins has been the sideline reporter for all 4 Big East Tournament games on Wednesday and Thursday, Tim Mccormick has worked as the analyst for 2 of the last 3 Atlantic Sun Championship games for ESPN2, this will be the 2nd straight year that Roxy Bernstein and Miles Simon have worked the Big Sky Championship game together, this will be the 2nd straight year that Miles Simon has been the analyst for the Big West Championship game, this will be the 2nd straight year that Stephen Bardo has been the analyst for the Horizon League Championship game, Bob Wischusen has been the PBP man for the last 3 MAAC Championship games, Len Elmore has been the analyst for the last 2 MAAC Championship games, Bob Wischusen and Stephen Bardo have worked the last 2 MAC championship games together, this will be the 2nd year in a row that Justin Kutcher will be the PBP man for the MEAC Championship game,Jon Sciambi will be the PBP man for the NEC Championship game for the 2nd year in a row,Bob Wischusen was the PBP man for the OVC semifinals and championship game for the 3rd year in a row,  this will be the 2nd  straight year that Carter Blackburn and Dereck Whittenburg have been working the Southland championship game together, this will be the 3rd straight year that Mark Adams has been the analyst for the SunBelt championship game and this will be the 3rd straight year that Dave Flemming and Sean Farnham have worked the WAC championship game together!

This year for the 1st time the ESPN family of networks, stopped showing 4 games in  3 Conference tournament, just so that they could add 15 games in 4 bigger conference tournaments!
