The highlight of the National Championship game last night may have been this hilarious snafu from the NCAA. Nothing says competence like misspelling the name of next year's Final Four city as "Alanta" instead of "Atlanta." It's not like "Poughkeepsie" or "Albuquerque." Keep in mind this isn't someone in a network truck pressing a wrong button for a simple graphic, an editor making a typo, or a writer just forgetting a simple thing. No, this is a signboard displayed to several million viewers representing the NCAA. Thankfully, NCAA watchdog Jay Bilas was quick to point out the hilarious mistake.
Given this gaffe, the multiple lane violations that decided games, the number of missed shots to close out games, and the overall downturn in play this year, it's a shame One Shining Moment didn't go the ironic direction for 2012 with a blooper reel. Oh well, it's still one of the annual rites of passage in sports worth looking forward to each year. Here's One Shining Moment for 2012...
ESPN MediaZone announced today that ESPN will be having Carter Blackburn and not Mike Patrick as the PBP man for their coverage of the CAA Championship game tonight!
Also Ernie Kent will be the Studio analyst for FSN's coverage of the PAC-12 Tournament, with Jim Watson most likely as the Studio host and Lindsay Soto will probably most likely be the sideline reporter for the MountainWest Tournament Championship game on NBC Sports Network for the 2nd year in a row too!

@CUbsfan I have already sent a list of all the broadcasters on every radio network to Awful Announcing, including Compass Media (Big 10 Tournament) and ESPN Radio (ACC and Big 12 Tournaments). As it is, it's not CBS Radio. It's Dial Global Sports/ Westwood One/ NCAA Radio.
Daniel i found out today, that starting this year that Dial Global Radio has the broadcasters for all of it's Regular Season games and Championship Games in College Basketball and Football listed on it's website and found it interesting that Perry Clark was an analyst for their ACC Game between Florida State at Virginia on March 1st this year too!
For the Pac-12 tournament on FSN they will probably do, what they always have done have Barry Tompkins and Don Maclean work the Day Session on Wednesdau and Thursday and 1 of the Semifinals on Friday and have Steve Physioc and Marques Johnson work the Night Session on Wednesday and Thursday and 1 of the Semifinals on Friday, Rebecca Haarlow will be the sideline reporter for all 10 games, like she has been for the last 3 years!
It also wouldn't suprise me if Ted Robinson and Blaine Fowler work the Mountain West Championship game for NBC Sports Network for the 3rd year in a row either!
@CUbsfan Blaine Fowler is locked in. When NBC Sports announced their schedule, they said Fowler would be there as the analyst for every game and either Steve Schlanger, Paul Burmeister, or Ted Robinson would provide play-by-play.
