Masters Sunday is always one of the highlights of the sporting year. Traditionally, the back nine on Sunday has been revered as one of the most dramatic theatres in sport. This year in 2012, the drama started early. 2010 British Open champion Louis Oosthuizen made the first double eagle ever scored on the second hole to take the lead by two at 10 under par. It's one of the more incredible golf shots you will ever see. In the words of David Feherty, come to papa!
@awfulannouncing ESPN lost the Breeders Cup right? If so, we can kiss any horse racing talk goodbye.
When you say fair and balanced, you are including MSNBC, which does the same stuff, just to the far left, and sucks at it a lot more than FOX News.
@JamieSamuelsen @awfulannouncing Well said! My hope with @NBCSports network is a sports news show to destroy horrible #ESPN #Sportscenter
@awfulannouncing The Evil Empire journalistic motto: 'If it didn't happen on our air - it just didn't happen.' Potential mention on crawl.
@twolinepass Never liked Levy. Heard he's not a terribly good person, plus...well, we can all see the rest of the package.
@twolinepass the whole espn channel is repulsive. Sportscenter being most unwatchable program on television
@awfulannouncing does it also bother you that espn doesn't spend more time on mls hot stove chatter??
@twolinepass But Levy dedicated four whole tweets to the deadline yesterday!!! Assuming "why not nashville ?" was about hockey not vacation
@twolinepass This isn't a shocking revelation. ESPN ran montage of fallen athletes in '11 & left out all hockey deaths including Lokomotiv
@awfulannouncing if more than 3 people cared about the nhl then espn would spend more time covering the league. u do get that, right?
@awfulannouncing the nhl is a joke. i dislike espn. but i applaud their decision to ignore a league that virtually nobody follows.
@awfulannouncing Honestly, nothing happened during the NHL Trade Deadline that warranted any coverage. ESPN gets a pass this time.
@jengaffney @awfulannouncing #ESPN continues its slide toward tabloid news. Soon Mary Hart will be hosting SportsCenter.
@awfulannouncing How does the fact that ESPN doesn't have a TV deal with the NHL play into not being mentioned?
@RearAdBsBlog I hate ESPN with a burning, undying passion. Except for Lauren Czarniak... She's cool...
@awfulannouncing I wonder what was the overnight rating for the Daytona 500 on FOX. I wonder if high rating will NASCAR move race to Mon Ngt
@awfulannouncing BTW your thing about ESPN ignoring NHL is not completely true. They did some on SportsCenter/ESPNNews but no one sees that.
@awfulannouncing It's ok; one episode of NBC's Costas show has more actual sports journalism than an entire year of Sports Center
@RearAdBsBlog Just leaving the door open for NBCSN. They should use the NHL to create a solid viewer base & go from there. Will they though?
@awfulannouncing As a hockey/soccer fan, I'm not outraged if ESPN does or doesn't cover those sports - there are better avenues to get info.
@FletchTopper yes. TSN is pretty even in covering all sports. They give priority to CFL over NHL but they don't pretend sports don't exist.
@AnthonyStelll is that a joke?? The thing that @NBA__Junkie was posting about no one caring about the NHL?
@NBA__Junkie you realize last Sunday's NHL regional coverage on NBC had almost 2 million viewers right?
@NBA__Junkie @awfulannouncing Really?? I'm sure all the NHL fans out there would totally disagree with you!! Then again, you like basketball
@KGDowd Sportscenter or http://t.co/PGw2ck7m? The website seems to give hockey it's fair share, at least in terms of story placement
@KGDowd Thought so. Article was more about Sportscenter/TV coverage, which doesn't really acknowledge the sport. Website is usually OK
