The home coverage of the 2012 London Olympics by the BBC has emerged as an option for some stateside desperate to search for a live alternative to NBC. The centerpiece of the BBC's coverage at Olympic Stadium is their studio featuring three former Olympic track stars as analysts – British medalists Denise Lewis and Colin Jackson and American sprinter Michael Johnson. It's not their on-camera analysis that's gone viral, but rather the trio's off-camera cheering and excitement for GBR's Mo Farah in winning gold in the 10,000 meters.

Lest you think this is some sort of crazy home nation partisianship and enthusiasm, the BBC caught this footage of Jackson going crazy during Usain Bolt's 100 meter victory, shouting for "the big man" after hilariously exclaiming "look at what's his name!"

One reason for Jackson to be so excited is his pre-race prediction of a 9.64 and a gold medal for Usain Bolt. Bolt ran that 9.64 before it was rounded down officially to a 9.63. Maybe NBC could give us a streaming option that's just the BBC studio watching the track events, hopefully one that doesn't buffer.
