CSN Bay Area's Bob Fitzgerald took the reins as NBC's top basketball play by play man for this year's Olympics and did a fine job overall given London 2012 was his first time in the national spotlight.  His work with Sixers coach and former NBC analyst Doug Collins was solid throughout the two weeks as NBC's #1 basketball team.  However, it's this moment from Sunday's Gold Medal game between the USA and Spain that Fitzgerald will be most remembered for.

NBC gave us celebrity crowd shots like it was a Lakers game at Staples and one in the first quarter spotted actor Jesse Eisenberg.  He of course played Mark Zuckerberg in the highly succesful movie based on the Facebook founder, The Social Network.  He is not, I repeat, not Mark Zuckerberg.  Alas, Fitzgerald talked up Eisenberg as the real-life Facebook executive to nervous laughter from Collins.  Maybe it was the hat that threw him off, or the lack of a hoodie that provided the confusion.

Thank God Robert De Niro wasn't in the crowd or else Fitzgerald might have thought Wesley Snipes' life was really in danger.
