Chris Berman makes his NFL play by play debut tonight
Written by Matt Yoder on .

The announcement of Chris Berman calling real live football games for a real live national television network frightened and terrified the masses. Now, those horrors traditionally only reserved for gruesome Stephen King novels or some of those crazy Japanese terror flicks are becoming a reality. Chris Berman makes his play by play debut for ESPN tonight with partner Trent Dilfer on the broadcast of the Cardinals-Titans preseason game.
Hopefully Al Michaels will be watching for what promises to be an unforgettable night in the history of his great profession.
And just for fun...
@awfulannouncing As long as he never ever ever ever ever EVER does golf again. That was like watching a drunk John Daly commentate himself
@awfulannouncing he doesn't bother me when he does football, he just needs to stay away from baseball.
@awfulannouncing ....Get ready for scratchy voice, and see it fade through game and get worse.
@awfulannouncing Oooh, can't wait for John "Helter" Skelton and Kevin "Corn on the" Kolb. #killme
@awfulannouncing if this was back back back when it was St Louis v Houston I might have tuned in.
@awfulannouncing On punts & kickoffs does Berman do his backbackbackbackback HR Derby schtick? #pleasedeargodno
