Tales from the NFL Preseason: Tony Siragusa has gone mad
Throughout the NFL Preseason we've been chronicling the weird and wacky things happening on broadcasts while the fourth rate action on the field bores NFL fans to tears. First it was Mike Mayock singing disco songs, now it's Tony Siragusa choking Mike Pereira because he messed up Goose's take out order at the Atlanta China Garden Buffet for the postgame meal.
Fox also unveiled their new technological gizmo sure to do nothing to actually improve their telecasts... Goose Cam. Goose Cam is basically a close up of Tony Siragusa. There's also a bunch of additional screens for Siragusa to attempt football analysis. Because if there's one thing Fox was missing from their NFL coverage, it was more tight on-camera shots of Tony Siragusa.

My theory is that FOX likes Tony Siragusa as an on field analyst a lot, because he works so well with their #2 PBP man Kenny Albert and their #2 analyst from the booth in Daryl Johnston!!
Let us also not forget, that if FOX didn't use Tony Siragua as an on field analyst for their NFL coverage or if ABC didn't use Lynn Swann as an on field analyst for their College Football coverage for a few years, VERSUS last year which turned into NBC Sports Network this year and the networks of FOX probably wouldn't decide to have most of their College Football broadcast crews change from having a Sideline Reporter to instead having an on field Analyst!!!
siragusa is the worst. i still remember the janky fox sports sticker on his undersized polo shirt.
