Bernie Kosar gives troubling, incoherent interview to Cleveland radio

Former Cleveland Browns QB Bernie Kosar appeared on ESPN Radio Cleveland yesterday afternoon and gave a short, troubling interview where he audibly stumbled and slurred over his words.  Kosar was doing his weekly spot on The Hooligans when the conversation devolved into a series of incoherent comments from the former Browns legend.  Kosar talked about "franks and beans" and referred to "ducks and dynasty" and clearly was in no shape to be interviewed.  Host Bruce Hooley actually tried to cut Kosar off, but the interview continued for another couple uncomfortable minutes.

I've watched my fair share of Browns preseason games where Kosar serves as the color commentator and the jokes always go that Bernie sounds drunk.  He naturally tends to slur his words a bit when he speaks, but this goes well and beyond a joking matter.  Something definitely did not sound right in that interview.  Kosar has had some documented personal issues to deal with in the past, so here's hoping this audio isn't a sign of trouble currently facing Kosar.

The franks and beans, and ducks and dynasty where in response to what  the guys on the Hooligans were talking about a few minutes before... Hooly loves ducks and dynasty.  Bernie was emotional, and has trouble talking when he is not crying..  look at the entire circumstance before accusing a guy who is known for his troubled speech of being drunk...

@sportsandra @awfulannouncing some major concussions and a few mini strokes can do that to somebody.

I understood maybe the first minute. Then I don't know where he went. To be serious, has he had a stroke?

@awfulannouncing Do you have a mobile version of your web site. Takes forever to load, I usually don't click on it because of no mobile.

@awfulannouncing He usually sounds a bit punch drunk, but he's completely wasted. Too bad.

@awfulannouncing you'd be incoherent too if you had dozens of concussions and some mini strokes
