If there's a poll that sums up ESPN in 2012, it's this one.  An Oscar is the height of a profession, the validation of a work of art.  Every actor and producer dreams and aspires to win an Oscar.  On the other hand, an ESPY is a bit harder to explain.  An ESPY is not a championship ring, it is not a Hall of Fame Jacket, it is not a Most Valuable Player trophy.  It's an ESPY.  It's a circular sort of self-defining creature.  An ESPY is… well, an ESPY.  Nevertheless, that won't stop ESPN from trying to convince you that an ESPY is indeed the most important award in the history of awards and the pinnacle of human endeavor.

If there was ever an ESPY for Most ESPN Poll of 2012, this would win in a landslide.
