Dave Barnett doesn't remember incident, hasn't yet returned to booth
It's been a week since Texas Rangers play by play man had a freakish incident in the broadcast booth that left viewers confused and concerned over his status. Out of nowhere, Barnett rambled about a botched robbery and henchmen because of what was later revealed to be a complicated migraine. Here's the clip again in case you missed it:
While Barnett finished that game without further incident, he was scheduled to miss two games to undergo an evaluation. As it turns out, Barnett is still absent from the Rangers booth a week later and has no memory of the bizarre call taking place. In fact, he told the Dallas Morning News he only found out about what transpired the next morning after receiving a phone call from his wife and then seeing it on national television. 105.3's Armen Williams relayed more information from Barnett on his Twitter page yesterday:

At this moment, Barnett's return date to the Rangers booth is unknown. Hopefully the tests are precautionary and he will be cleared to get back to work soon after what remains one of the scarier episodes you'll see in a broadcast booth.Dave Barnett had third test on Sat. I have a really annoying uncle. However, Reilly is just way way worse. This site should campaign to have him removed from ESPN/Earth.

I can just imagine the crew and all of the people in Bristol just bracing and shaking their heads when he is on air. Just terrible.
