Kerry Wood picked up his second loss of the season last night at Wrigley Field as the Cubs lost 3-1 to the Atlanta Braves.  The 34 year old veteran has struggled since returning from the DL last week with shoulder fatigue.  Hard to believe it was 14 years ago when he struck out 20 batters in a game and 9 years ago he led the Cubs to the NLCS.  Wood gave up 2 hits, 2 walks, and 2 earned runs in the decisive eighth inning on Tuesday.  The loss dropped the Cubbies to 12-18 on the season and Wood was none too happy about picking up the loss.  Wood threw his hat and glove into the Wrigley stands as he left the mound and then blew up at a reporter in his postgame press conference after the game when asked about it.  Video from CSN Chicago

At least he had the courtesy to speak in bleeps instead of cussing out that reporter like Ozzie Guillen.
