This key to the game from the Athletics/Angels broadcast is as dynamic as LAA's offense has been this season. With Albert Pujols currently on pace to fall into the Bobby Bonilla pantheon of terrible contracts after a month and a half, it may be a long season for the Halos. Then again, The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim via Orange County and Sunny Southern California went on to win 4-0 over Oakland last night and Pujols drove in two runs on singles, so maybe they are onto something with this whole "something" thing. After all, it's got to at least be as effective as that blasted ralley monkey...
It's about to get much worse: http://fangsbites.com/2012/03/espn-announces-primetime-edition-of-first-take-and-its-about-tim-tebow/
I definitely believe Bayless is speaking from the heart on topics like James and Tebow, but that doesn't preclude him from taking it over the top at times to become a TV personality that drives ratings. And if you think differently, you probably think reality shows aren't staged either.
I don't see what the big deal. Is Skip over dramatic in his opinions? Yeah. But I don't think he's making up opinions on James, Tebow, etc if he didn't really believe them. I think the First Take format is great now with more Skip and ratings are proving that.
This is absurd. Have you seen pictures of him? The man is jacked.
As for everything else, I don't understand why you must believe that his schtick is an act. Is he overly dramatic? Yes. But that doesn't mean his opinions are fake.
And you calling Charles Barkley distinguished company is an embarassment to this blog. Did you watch him on television last weekend? He can barely speak English!
@awfulannouncing Skip Bayless is a truth-teller. Sorry he wasn't modest enough of for you. He wasn't bragging, just stating the facts.
@awfulannouncing I find it funny when u don't consider him an analyst, yet hes right about Tebow and James, but no credit is given
Who is next for a nomination... Woody Page and his chalkboard? Or maybe Gus Johnson for best screamer. Maybe Mike Wilbon should get one for his ability to turn every story into race oppression fantasy. By the way, I have worked with and very much like Billy Packer. Surely your site could find someone more appropriate for ridicule than another attack on older sports announcers.
The fact that we basically said the same thing, yet you harped on a throw away statement at the end is pretty hilarious to me.

@Jcsteel You're absolutely right, if it were anyone else, he/she would get tons of praise, but Skip doesn't which is ridiculous.
