NBA Emperor David Stern made a guest appearance in the Root Sports booth as the Jazz were on the road in Memphis this week. While Stern's commentary is predictably non-descript, what truly stands out about this clip is the backslapping of Stern by the Jazz broadcasters, Craig Bolerjack and Matt Harpring. Judging by their effusive acclamation of Stern, you'd think he was Marv Albert and Doug Collins rolled into one as a broadcasting savant.
Of course, what other choice do the Jazz announcers have? Were they to do anything short of build an altar to Stern at the announce table, he may have fired them on the spot. (He apparently can do that you know.)
