Video: Panthers win!! .... Buccaneers win!!
Written by Matt Yoder on .
Chris Myers certainly isn't the first nor the last announcer that this will happen to, but the game winning score is the worst possible time to confuse the two teams playing a game in front of you. As Dallas Clark catches the game winning TD in overtime from Josh Freeman for the Buccaneers against the Panthers, Myers shouts:
"Panthers win!"
*Awkward Pause*
"Bucaaneers win!"
The awkward pause between the wrong call and the right call is always the best part.

@awfulannouncing I saw it live and once I heard it I said, "Enjoy being on Awful Announcing dude."
NFL Redzone signs off with a package of all of the touchdowns. They edited out the part where the 'Panthers win".
Is FOX low on play-by-play talent? I like Myers, but he's a better sideline guy than play-by-play. This byte is funny though. This makes me wish he still hosted his drivetime FOX Sports Radio show. The crew would definitely be giving him a hard time about this, no doubt playing his infamous "Goodnight everybody, goodnight career" soundbyte a time or two!
As a Bucs fan I cringe because Meyers far too often is calling the Bucs game. He has no enthusiasm for the game, and when he tries to feign it (like in this video) he either overdoes it or screws it up.
GofastMazda2008 he may be doing PBP for a lot of Bucs games this year, but this weekend he wil be doing PBP for his 4th Seahawks game this year, when the Seahawks play at the Miami Dolphins, which means tha the Bucs aren't the only team that he has called a lot of their games for this year!!!
