The fantastic BTN documentary series "The Journey" will return tonight, but instead of focusing on basketball like it has the last two seasons, it will focus on the Big Ten's football season.

If you've never seen The Journey, the show is set up to focus on three teams each week, normally specifically geared towards following one player during preparation for the game. There is often an emotional aspect to the pieces as well, and the access to the teams is unparalleled, giving the viewer an in-depth look at the player getting focused on.

The three players featured on Wednesday's premiere episode are Ohio State defensive end John Simon, Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson, and Penn State linebacker Michael Mauti. The look at Mauti, Penn State's vocal team leader after a tumultous offeseason, should be particularly revealing and emotional.

The Journey: Football will air every Wednesday at 7:30 PM, which is a bit of an odd time for such a fantastic show, but one that you should definitely go out of your way to watch.
