David Stern pauses to remember the recent victims of Hurricane... Katrina?
Last night before the season opening NBA game between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics, NBA Emperor David Stern took to the court... well... because he could. The ego-stroking moment was botched when Stern managed to mangle the current natural disaster afflicting much of the eastern half of the United States. While we should always be aware of what happened seven years ago in New Orleans, the name of this most recent storm is Hurricane Sandy. Sandy. At least Stern doesn't appear woefully out of touch with reality or anything, that'd be something new.
Yeah, I know, Mr. Stern...it was an inadvertent mistake. But it will tick people off that you were that thoughtless, so any "good PR" you were thinking you'd get by forcing yourself in the limelight ONCE AGAIN, was lost. Shut up and go away.
Your arrogance knows no bounds, and your lack of attention to detail is...well...pretty obvious.
