Miraculous high school touchdown leads to some interesting announcing

Written by Matt Yoder on .

We take you to Ohio high school football and the last minute of Ravenna's game against Field High School.  Ravenna was down 5 on 4th and Goal when QB Tate Bennett completed this miraculous pass to receiver Warren Bradley.  The play is remarkable, as Bennett gets sacked and throws it over his head to a receiver in the endzone, but the announcers' reactions take this clip to another level.  The play by play guy immediately describes it as a "bouquet style at a wedding" pass, which is actually an incredibly random but accurate analogy in the moment.  But then the analyst blurts out this brilliant line in the hysteria...

"Somebody get that man a groom and get him married!"

Sometimes you can just take good analogies a step too far, what a strange thing to say about a high school quarterback.
