Last summer we held a 32 person tournament for AA readers to vote on which current announcer or pundit would replace the venerable Joe Morgan on AA's Mount Rushmore.  The Joe Morgan Memorial Tournament was won by ESPN college football analyst Craig James in a landslide as details emerged regarding his shady behavior at ESPN.  As his later run for political office proved, nobody in the sports world deserves immortalization on AA's Mount Rushmore quite like Craig James.

Since James left ESPN for a run at political office, I've been asked numerous times when or if we were going to have another tournament to replace the would be senator from Texas on our Mount Rushmore.

The answer to that question is once again up to you.

We're giving Senator James one more shot at election glory and the chance to defend his spot on AA's Mount Rushmore as the incumbent in our own Decision 2012 election.  With James' political history and the presidential campaign kicking off in earnest tonight with the first debate, what better way to decide the fate of Awful Announcing and even, yes, our country.

But we're not talking about one of those election cycles that drag on for a year and a half.  My God, that'd be torture.  Instead, we'll hold 3 primaries of 7 individuals each tomorrow for you to vote on throughout the next week.  The winners of the three primaries will face off against Craig James with voting on Election Day (that's Tuesday November 6th for those of you who may not know) to decide the winner.  No two party systems here, that would be just un-American.  The winner of our Election Day vote claims the 4th spot on our Mount Rushmore.  Here's the three primaries you'll vote on tomorrow:

The Back, Back, Back… Party

"Backward… because Forward is already taken."

Joe Buck

Dick Stockton

Hawk Harrelson

Mike Patrick

Chris Berman

Jim Nantz

John Sterling

The Jockular Party

"Perplexing the 99% with our privileged perspective one cliche at a time."

Mark May

Tony Siragusa

Pierre McGuire

Matt Millen

Jon Gruden

Warren Sapp

Reggie Miller

The Embrace Debate Party

"Why solve our country's problems when we can just argue incessantly about them?"

Skip Bayless

Stephen A. Smith

Rick Reilly

Colin Cowherd

Rob Parker

Jason Whitlock

Mike Francesa

Who should win each primary and go on to face Senator James in our general election?  Can the man who (allegedly) killed five hookers at SMU hold off the charge of Berman, Buck, Gruden, Bayless and more?  The primaries begin tomorrow and run through next week.
