Before we get to this week's tweets, let's hear from that wascally wabbit Brian Billick...
Also worth noting from that game, Billick's broadcast partner Thom Brennaman put Reggie Wayne in the Hall of Fame during yesterday's telecast. I wonder how Cris Carter feels about that declaration...
Does everybody like me, putting the funny quotes from the NFL Pregame Shows on Sundays that i get by reading them and than copying them from the website Sports Media News to the Straight Outta Stockton Page every week???
How come no one has been putting the misquotes from NFL Network's Thursday Night Football so far this year after their 1st 4 games???
Did Mike Tirico or Jon Gruden has any slipups during ESPN's Monday Night game between the Houston Texans at New York Jets last night???
On the FOX NFL Sunday Pregame Show, according to Jimmy Johnson, The New York Jets are finished if they lose their next 2 games- They'll lose to Houston this Monday night and in a couple weeks they've got New England.
If they lose to New England, get the fork out because they're done.
Chris Berman on Johnny Unitas during ESPN"s Sunday NFL Countdown Pregame Show-When you watch Johnny Unitas and those Black-and-White films from the 50's, you can still see the modern game... He was that far ahead of his time.
Tom Jackson on Atlanta- can we trust these Falcons on ESPN"s Sunday NFL Countdown Pregame Show-Sounds good Boom, Smells bad.
Mike Ditka on the 2-2 Green Bay Packers on ESPN"s Snday NFL Countdown Pregame show- They Don't have a running game.
You have to be honest.
The Pack is back, they're a good football team.
But when you don't run the ball, defenses play you differently,
They play a lot of Zone, they drop back, they don't give you the deep pass, and that basically what's happened.
They're not getting the Home Run anymore.
Chris Carter- This game definitely has some bite to it or some bark to it and Chris Berman-Philly's offense, whether they run or pass,it's a Sports Car with Michael Vick that should drive 70-75, but not 110 on the Philadelphia Eagles at Pittsburgh Steelers game on ESPN"s Sunday NFL Countdown Pregame show!
I need more convincing wins. I need my quarterback to be sitting on the sidelines with a hat on in the 4th quarter- Marshall Faulk on the 3-1 Philadelphia Eagles on NFL Network's NFL Gameday Morning Pregame show on Sunday!
Oh man, Stockton is so brutal to listen to in the MLB Playoffs. TBS has three good play-by-play guys in Johnson, Anderson, and Orsillo, but then...you have Stockton. Sure, Stockton has had a long and legendary career, but when it gets to the point that you're making "errahs" in your commentary almost every single inning, it's time to ride off into the sunset.
Oddly enough, Stockton is one of the few people who currently call all of the biggest three pro leagues in this country: NFL, MLB, and NBA, and I find myself grimacing every time I check this site and see that he's going to be calling a game I want to watch. I really do respect Stockton for all of the years he's put into all of these sports, but I think it's time to gracefully step aside.
@awfulannouncing saw this live and had to confirm I wasn't on candid camera...the best part is no one made fun of him/it
@awfulannouncing To be fair, "I give Reggie Wayne great credit" is actually really hard to say. Your brain wants that second W
