Tom Hart, who works for Fox Sports South with the Braves as a reporter during games, had an embarrassing incident during Tuesday's game with the Rockies. While Chip Caray and Joe Simpson talking about Andrelton Simmons' rehab schedule, the camera focused on Hart, sitting in a suite at Turner Field chowing down on a hamburger.
After the initial deer in the headlights look faded from Hart's face, he actually saved himself pretty well (burger in hand) by talking about the post-game spread at minor league games, and where you could get great food (like what Hart was eating) at various seating levels throughout Turner Field.
That initial glimpse of Hart with a hamburger in his hand could be one of the baseball announcing highlights of the season, though.
This reminds me of when Kenny Albert and Daryl Johnston were going to throw it down to Field Level analyst Tony Siragusa when he was busy eating a Hot Dog and waived the camera away and even told Kenny Albert and Daryl Johnston to not bug him when he was eating, during a FOX Saturday NFL Special between the San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks on the last Saturday of December during the 2004 NFL Season!
I know that Tom Glavine was working SportSouth's coverage of the 4 game series between the Coloado Rokies at Atlanta Braves as a 2nd analyst and didn't say much, does anybody know why???
@awfulannouncing It certainly wasn't SportsCenter's 35+ minutes (still going) of continuous slobbering over a meaningless NFL game
Love that he just went with it. Not only did he rally to try and make it seem natural, he even went back in for another bite while they were still asking him questions!
