From Brazil's second division last week, this game between Criciuma and America produced one of the most baffling own goals ever seen.  Already down 2-0, Criciuma goalkeeper Michel Alves makes the initial save, but then the ball squirts out of his hands into the net like a comically spherical bar of soap.

While the own goal is worth the price of admission, the announcer's reaction is priceless.  First there's an initial moment of shock.  Then a short scream of disbelief.  Finally, the traditional "GOOOOOOOL" call.  I've always wondered whether the stupidest of own goals would still be worthy of shouting "GOOOOOOL" at the top of your lungs like you've just seen Diego Maradona.

The answer, naturally, is yes.
