The famous "This is SportsCenter" ad campaign was actually outlined in Jim Miller's best-seller about ESPN as one of the key steps toward's the network achieving world domination because of its brilliance. With quite the legacy to live up to, ESPN has delivered the best "This is SportsCenter" spot of all-time, yes, even topping Charley Steiner's "follow me to freedom" Y2K ad.
All you need to know are five words. John Clayton, Slayer, pony tail. I take back everything negative I've ever said about ESPN.

@awfulannouncing Yes it is awesome. But they use an outside company for their ads. It isn't the WWL who comes up with those brilliant ads.
@awfulannouncing ESPN should stick to This is Sportscenter ads, 30 for 30, and World Cup coverage. Only things they consistently do well.
