Your Week 1 NFL announcing schedule

Written by Ryan Yoder on .

Yes, yes it's finally here.  No, not baketball training camps, or hockey work stoppages.  Not the home stretch in baseball or the golf "playoffs."  It's that smell in the air.  A kind of smelly smell.  A smell that smells like the National Football League.  Fantasy lineups are set.  Your gameday jersey is getting broken in, you're ready for kickoff!  The only thing you're missing is finding out who's announcing your game, and praying you're not stuck with Dick Stockton!  Sorry Falcons and Chiefs fans.  Don't forget the fun starts Wednesday with NBC's coverage of Cowboys/Giants and ends with... gulp... Chris Berman on the call of Chargers/Raaaaaiiiiidddeeerrrrsssss.  Full schedule after the jump...

Does anybody know who Kristina Pink is???

I know that Heidi Androl will be the new sideline reporter for Los Angeles Lakers local TV games this year, so they will probably only using her as a sideline reporter for 1 or 2 NFL games on FOX this year, unless they can find a replacement for her on the Los Angeles Lakers Local  TV games for those few weeks, because i know that Jenifer Hale will be the new Sideline reporter for the New Orleans Hornets local TV games this year and they are going to have to find a replacement for her, on the Sundays that she will be working for the NFL on FOX in November and December of this year already!!!

@CUbsfan That info look very familiar to me. I wonder why. Oh yeah, I remember publishing a list with all of that info last night, a little more than 8 hours ago- eyeonskyandairsports.blogspot.com.

@CUbsfan The NFL is a bit tricky. Dial Global and Compass Media teams are published at dialglobalsports.com (Dial Global is the advertising partner for Compass Media, and compassmediasports.com redirects you to dialglobalsports.com. However compassmedianetworks.com/sports/ provides you an access to the Compass Media video player which broadcasts all their college games and the Oakland Raiders online for free).

Sports USA doesn't typically publish their broadcast teams. However an article about the Titans opening game listed that broadcast team, and I knew Larry Kahn wasn't calling games yet because he is the voice of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim for their home market, so he typically doesn't get assignments until baseball season is over.

Why couldn't ESPN let Brad Nessler call the Monday Night game with Dilfer for a second straight year? Or did Nessler just say he'd be unavailable because of the Thursday package starting next Thursday for NFL Network? Heck, I'd prefer them going back to Mike and Mike calling the late Monday Night game, which they did for 3 years before Nessler and Dilfer took over last year, over having Berman do a game. I guess we know why ESPN had Berman do the last ESPN pre-season game though.

It's worth noting that this will be the first season since 1967 that Don Criqui will not announce an NFL football game for either CBS or NBC.  While his talents have faded with age, he remains one of the legends of football broadcasting and should be recognized as such.

Also, for everybody with DirecTV, this is a free trial weekend of Sunday Ticket, so I'm gonna get to enjoy all of these games. I've never actually bothered to use Sunday Ticket before. I hope I remember to check it out.
