The Yankees were visiting Los Angeles for an interleague series with the Dodgers which gave us a rare chance to hear Vin Scully call a Yankees game. Last night, the Yankees were up 3-0 in the 9th which meant a chance to hear the greatest announcer in the game call the game's greatest ever closer on his grand retirement tour. Thankfully, MLB has made the entire bottom of the 9th shareable so you can enjoy this brief intersection of intergalactic greatness...
How terrific is that? Savor it, because you don't know how much longer either will be around as the best at what they do.
Love tuning into the MLB Network and catching a Dodgers home game. No one will come close in the future to this legend. As Norm said, Jackson and Scully...the best.
Compared to the blathering twosomes and trios in the booth all over the rest of the league, Scully owns it. Always worth watching a Dodgers game just for his analysis and play-by-play. He really is the best. How is he not doing the World Series every year until he retires?
The benefit of being a Yankees fan on the West Coast was the last two days of being able to switch the telecast from the YES crew to Vin Scully.
