In a move that should surpise no one, WQAM has fired Dan Sileo.
The most surprising thing about Sileo's firing is that it didn't come sooner. He was suppended in January for sending a series of inappropriate tweets to Erin Andrews for which he later apologized (sort of).
Sileo lost his former job at WDAE in Tampa for calling three NFL players "monkeys."
His short stint at WQAM also included a rant against the Miami Hurricanes, a team for which Sileo played in the 80s.
Sileo is known for his "if you don't like what I have to say too bad" attitude, but maybe parting ways with yet another employer will force him to change his ways.
On second thought...
Want to thank the Folks at WQAM for having me...We differ on content...WISH them WELL and GOOD LUCK..I WILL NEVER CHANGE!!!!— BONECRUSHERDan Sileo (@DanSileoShow) March 4, 2013
@revafriedel I would like to see what you'd say if he mocked your impending book. I'm sure he'd be missing limbs
Good. @gatorpatty “@revafriedel: Dan Sileo fired from WQAM http://t.co/oPuvR2e0Yj via @AwfulAnnouncing”
Did you notice the time in which Sileo posted his tweet? 4:13 pm? Was he in the Bahamas or someplace when he sent this tweet?
