JP Arencibia brought back his Tim Kurkjian impression

Written by Joe Lucia on .

During Spring Training last year, Toronto Blue Jays catcher JP Arencibia showed off his impression of ESPN baseball analyst Tim Kurkjian. This year, Arencibia reprised his impression of Kurkjian to lead off Baseball Tonight, and it was pretty solid once again, with Arencibia even calling himself "one of the finest, most well-rounded, good-looking catchers in the game". And of course, Kurkjian showed how accurate the impression was when he started talking after Arencibia finished talking.

Hopefully, this will lead to a rash of Kurkjian impressions like it did last season with Elliot Johnson, Tim Dillard, and Ryan Dempster all imitating Kurkjian when ESPN came to their respective Spring Training sites. I just hope this year someone goes the extra mile and imitates one of Kurkjian's Dear Diary segments.

@rrreginald2 doing everything he can to maintain a spot in the Express' roster. (And doing so quite well if I may add)

We can only hope that this is the start of another great spring of impressions. Seriously thought Dillard's was the best last season for the simple fact that he nailed the bizarre stat & made Boone completely loose it.
