Through 2010 and 2011, no announcer in sports called more upsets and more exciting finishes than ESPN's Joe Tessitore.  His college football broadcasts on Friday nights became must see games because of the unpredictable nature of what could happen.  In fact, Tessitore became one of the few announcers in sports to have a phenomenon named after him – the Tessitore Effect, whereby his mere presence could cause dramatic things to happen.

After getting a promotion to Saturday nights on ESPN, the Tessitore Effect went rather quiet in 2012.  Of course, I blame his new broadcast partner – Pammies winner Matt Millen.  But thankfully, February 7th 2013 marked the return of the Tessitore Effect with an upset in college basketball.  Tess was in Champaign for Illinois' upset of #1 Indiana on a buzzer beating layup.  Enjoy Joe's call of Tyler Griffey's game winner.
