Butler's play by play announcer goes crazy after Gonzaga buzzer beater

Written by Joe Lucia on .

On Saturday night, Butler beat Gonzaga 64-63 after Butler's Roosevelt Jones intercepted the inbounds pass from Gonzaga's David Stockton and floated a basket in at the buzzer. The call from Brandon Gaudin on the Butler Radio Network was pretty amazing, as he called the action on the court perfectly, went crazy after the shot went in, then dialed his emotions back a little bit to finish off his call of the game. But I guess as a Butler radio announcer, he's pretty used to calling games that end like this, right?

Joe did you notice that you put Butler's Play by Play announcer goes crazy after Gonzaga's Buzzer beater as the headline???

My question when i 1st saw that was why would Butler's Play by Play announcer go crazy if Gonzaga hit the Buzzer beating shot???

Thanks for posting...this is a GEM. Butler truly is UN-BE-LIEVABLE. I'm not a Butler grad...but they are officially my team.

It wasn't a perfect call, but it was good... At least he didn't completely lose his lunch... Also, to call it "unbelievable" isn't accurate, considering that they've had a fair number of dramatic moments similar to this one over the years... In that regard, it's totally believable! To me, it's right up there with "It doesn't get any better than this" that some guys will use from time to time...
