Your NFL Playoffs Divisional Round Announcing Schedule
Written by Matt Yoder on .

The big news is certainly Thom Brennaman and Brian Billick getting the chance to call their first playoff game for Fox in place of the #2 team of Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston, and Tony Siragusa. That trio had called a Divisional Round game every year since the 2008 NFL Playoffs. In fact, Johnson had called the game all the way back to the 2001 NFL Playoffs when Dick Stockton and Matt Millen called the Vikings-Saints game. No such changes for CBS, where it will be Dan Dierdorf and Greg Gumbel once again. The full schedule...
Saturday, January 12
Baltimore Ravens @ Denver Broncos (CBS 4:30PM) Greg Gumbel, Dan Dierdorf & Solomon Wilcots
Green Bay Packers @ San Francisco 49ers (FOX 8PM) Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, Pam Oliver, & Erin Andrews
Sunday, January 13
Seattle Seahawks @ Atlanta Falcons (FOX 1PM) Thom Brennaman, Brian Billick, Laura Okmin, & Chris Myers
Houston Texans @ New England Patriots (CBS 4:30PM) Jim Nantz, Phil Simms & Steve Tasker
H/T Sammy!
Does anybody know why the Punt,Pass and Kick winners were announed after the 3rd quarter of an NFC Divsional Playoff game this year???
Because as far back as i can remember, they have normally announced the winners of the Punt, Pass and Kic competition after the 3rd quarter of an AFC Divisional Playoff game!
I'm still recovering from all the beers I had for every time Dierdoff said "again."
For those of you who haven't heard yet, Soloman Wilcots and Steve Tasker will be be Sideline Reporters for CBS"S coverage of the AFC Championship game and Super Bowl this year, it will also be the 1st time in quite a while that CBS has used 2 Sideline Reporters for their coverage of the NFL Playoffs too!!!
@ David Saunders - That's not a bad idea. If I were CBS, I would replace Jim Nantz and Phil Simms with Kevin Harlan and Solomon Wilcots. and for Fox, in all fairness and with all do respect to Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, its time they pass the torch over to Thom Brennaman and Billick. and then the #2 playoff crew = Dick Stockton and John Lynch
Brenamann is way too far from being a 2nd team announcer. Not even at baseball when he did games with Brenley. Terrible decison by FOX ... as if they ever made a correct one.
Someone let Dierdorf know that we really need him to beat those points into the ground. I mean really beat the snot out of them. Oh, and if he's not going to be pompus and overbearing then don't bother showing up.
CUbsfan...Aikman and Buck did the Saturday night game two years ago during the divisional round. Packers at Falcons.
Sorry Jonenslin, but i didn't know that and where i was going with that, is that i am suprised that FOX has had them work mostly Sunday and hardly ever Saturday games and their #2 team work mainly Saturday and hardly ever Sunday games during the NFC Divisional Playoffs, because CBS has always sent it's #1 broadcast team to the better of the 2 AFC Divisional Playoff games and it's #2 broadcast team to the 2nd best of the 2 AFC Divisional Playoff games and it dosen't matter if they fall on Saturday or Sunday!
I am suprised to see that CBS will be using Soloman Wilcots as a Sideline Reporter with their #2 broadcast team of Greg Gumbell and Dan Dierdorf on Saturday Afternoon and Steve Tasker as a Sideline Reporter with their #1 Broadcast team of Jim Nantz and Phil Simms on Sunday Afternoon, because this is the 1st time since 2005 that CBS has used any Sideline Reporters for it's coverage of the 2 AFC Divisional Playoffs, Although i remember that Soloman Wilcots was a Sideline reporter and 4th broadcasters for ESPN"s Sunday Night Football coverage for 3-4 years in the late 90's, before he became an analyst for the NFL on CBS and he has also done some Sideline reporting for the Men's NCAA Tournament on CBS, for a few years in the early 2000's too!!!
I am suprised that FOX will be having it's #1 Broadcast team of Joe Buck, Troy Aikman and Sideline Reporters Pam Oliver and Erin Andrews call the NFC Divisional Playoff game for FOX on Saturday this year, because it will be the 1st Saturday NFC Divisional Playoff game that Joe Buck, Troy Aikman and Sideline Reporter Pam Oliver has ever worked for FOX during NFC Divisional Playoff weekend ever!!!
Thom Brennaman and Brian Billick working the 2nd NFC Divisional Playoff game for FOX with Sideline reporters Laura Okmin and Chris Myers, makes an article that says that starting with this year's NFC Divisional Playoffs on FOX, joining Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston and Sideline analyst Tony Siragusa as a 2nd Sideline reporter will be Heath Evans obsolite too!!! It will also be the 1st time ever that FOX will be having someone other than Joe Buck, Troy Aikman and Sideline Reporter Pam Oliver work an NFC Divisional Playoff game for FOX on Sunday during the NFC Divisional Playoffs week too!!!
The Broadcasters for the NFL Playoffs are DialGlobal Radio this weekend will be Kevin Kugler, Mark Malone and Sideline Reporter Scott Kaplan from the Baltimore Ravens at Denver Broncos game,Kevin Harlan, Dan Fouts and Sideline Reporter Hub Arkush from the Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers game, Dave Sims, James Lofton and Sideline Reporter Tony Boselli from the Seattle Seahawks at Atlanta Falcons game and lastly Ian Eagle, Trent Green and Lewis Johnson will be his debut as A Sideline Reporter for DialGlobal Radio during the Houston Texans at New England Patriots game!
Whew... This Seahawks fan is very happy he won't have to hear that obnoxious ugly fatass known as Tony Siragusa.
Great news. I don't mind Johnston but Siragusa's schtick is tiresome. I think Brian Billick is perhaps the most underrated color guy in football and should be on a number one team on one of the networks.
