Defending national champions Kentucky can only hold onto that title for three more weeks as they were not selected to participate in this year's NCAA Tournament after slumping to a 21-11 record.
Now Big Blue Nation has to embrace the pursuit of the NIT championship, but not all UK fans are taking it in stride. One of those fans is Chester, a caller to Kentucky Sports Radio, who offers his own conspiracy theory on why UK got snubbed by the selection committee.
It's a phenomenal example of tribalism in sports fandom and what's possible in sports talk radio. "Liberal socialism conspiracy theory" KSR caller may have just surpassed WFAN "trade proposal guy" in the stereotypical sports talk radio power rankings.
