Some coaches use TV jobs as placeholders while they wait for another job in their sport to open up for them; others are actually better on TV than they ever were as coaches. Lee Corso is one, probably Dick Vitale, and definitely Rick Neuheisel.

Neuheisel, formerly of UCLA and now working as an analyst for the Pac-12 Network, is a regular on the Dan Patrick Radio show. His guitar is also a regular. Whenever he appears on the show, he performs an original song about college football. This time it was "Born in the SEC" set to Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA."

The song mentions every SEC team – even Texas A&M and Missouri – and included verses like this:

"The ACC can't play no D / The Big 10 and 12 are just wannabes / The Pac-12 is just late night TV / We've got more crystal than Tiffany's."

The man is clearly a songwriting genius, but also happens to be very good on TV, and should stay there. For the College Gameday producers looking to replace Lee Corso, Rick Neuheisel could probably be bought for less money than you would think.
