MIke Francesa calls the Sunday Night Football, "Waiting All Day for Sunday Night" the "stupidest song that was ever created." In actuality, Francesa's logic is... correct! America does watch football all day on Sundays, so really only fans of the particular teams playing on Sunday night would be waiting for the game, but maybe that's just overanalyzing the situation. (Although I suppose anything more than five words would be overanalyzing the situation.)
In truth, the SNF theme may be the best thing we have going right now, what with Hank Williams Jr. jettisoned from Monday Night Football and the revolving door at NFL Network. Besides, how could anyone hate anything involving Carrie Underwood?
Stupidest song ever created might be harsh. Did Mikey completely miss Cee Lo Green covering The Ramones last year?

NBC badly needs to make a deal with Hank Williams Jr. Nothing comes close to " all my rowdy friends". Seriously!
I liked the Faith Hill and P!nk versions better. The Carrie Underwood version butchers the original song too much.
Carrie Underwood is insufferable. Enough with the damn theme songs. The current Monday Night Football intro is easily the best of the bunch, mainly because all it's trying to sell is football.
So do I, as done by Carrie Underwood. Half of it is just "Aww aww aww awwww". Faith Hill was much better.
Um... I thought Cee Lo was the best song on NFL telecasts when it was on. And I think Carrie Underwood sounds like she's just going through the motions when she sings "Waiting All Day for Sunday Night" and doesn't sound like she means it like Faith Hill did. And I think the song NFL Network has now is far stupider than anything else I've heard. What does that make me?
They might watch football all day on Sundays, but they only get to enjoy Cris Collinsworth on Sunday night.
The old Monday Night Football song from the late '80s/'90s was the best. It's still used in some NFL films.
