During the second half of the Sunday Night Football game between the Patriots and Falcons, Cris Collinsworth was selling the virtues of the mythical "Patriot Way" regarding troubled CB Aqib Talib. Collinsworth's brain must have exited his body and ran out into traffic because he actually spoke these words on the telecast. Either that, or he was distracted watching the Breaking Bad finale:
"All Bill Belichick does is brings him in here and there hasn't been one ounce of a problem.... ya know.. there's something about when they come in and play for the Patriots, whatever their issues have been before, they disappear."

This is easily my favorite Collinsworth moment, & considering how much the guy runs his mouth that's a real accomplishment.
arron hernandez was a punk as a teenager, he was a punk when he killed that poor guy, and he's definitely a punk sitting in jail waiting to rot. end of story!!!
Just another announcer who finds it more important to run their mouth rather than being accurate.
Note to announcers - We can actually handle a few moments of silence once in awhile. Heck, we might even get to like it.
@awfulannouncing and what about them spying on teams... Was that the "patriot way" as well?
@awfulannouncing Really no reason to bring up Hernandez. Audience is well aware that he's the exception. Pats have had success w several pl
Apparently, Collingsworth didn't get the memo. Chris, there is an individual that was given millions by the Patriots these past few years that was used to fund murder and the attempted covering up of it. And now those Patriot millions are being used to defend it. Got it yet Chris?
@awfulannouncing Go Gata
This is typical of the NFL. Burn 'em and churn 'em.
The NFL has already found AH guilty, and hence, told their network partners to not mention his name in the future. They have bought back all his jersey's, and if they could, would erase his name from their books.
What a great company and organization to work for.
@awfulannouncing Everyone is just now realizing how awful he is? Or maybe it's just raising awareness.
@AnthonyMancusi was thinking the same thing
@Justind0301 Hahahahaha. About that...
@awfulannouncing So what's new with Collingsworth? He usually is pretty clueless homer!
@awfulannouncing he's usually smarter than that.
@awfulannouncing he also talked about Gonzo's arm extension all game before claiming the last ball in his direction needed to be on his body
@awfulannouncing To be fair, Hernandez did have a habit of making his past "issues" "disappear."
@awfulannouncing Does he know OJ Simpson killed 2 people? Maybe he should ask Al Michaels
@smmyers I totally agree with that statement! Sometimes,the senseless rambling gets really annoying.
@kjt89 No he was arrested while at Nebraska.He was a projected 2nd pick then with his arrest he fell to the 7th round and the Patriots picked him.I think he has since violated his probation
@jdgrieger @awfulannouncing I agree with you J.D! I have never enjoyed hearing Cris Collinsworth's commentary.
@awfulannouncing which technically was true, pass was crap but if you spend 4 QTS saying hes the best, why complain about a high ball to him
