You know the drill by now.
ESPN forces Chris Berman into a broadcast booth like an elephant into a thimble and everyone on Twitter loses their minds. In all honesty, Berman isn't *that bad* as a football announcer – it's actually better than his cliched Home Run Derby work or having him announce the US Open. Nevertheless, many fans reject Berman's television persona as a play by play announcer simply on its merits. It could be his decades old schtick, no cultural references from after 1987, the fact that he's passing over dozens of more deserving announcers, or the cut of his jib. Whatever the case, whenever Chris Berman hits the broadcast booth it's not going to be a good night for ESPN on social media.
