By now, you know the Seattle Seahawks are Super Bowl champions, and that they beat down the Broncos like no one expected. One of those people who didn't expect it was ESPN analyst Cris Carter, who had the Broncos winning 27-20. During the countless hours of pregame hype throughout the week, Carter went after Seattle's receiver corps, calling them "appetizers". Seahawks receiver Doug Baldwin responded on Sunday night after the win in an interview on Fox Sports 1.

That was vicious. Baldwin had five catches for 66 yards and a touchdown in the win, so his behavior certainly was warranted – especially when someone tells you to Google him. You also have to love the FS1 crew shamelessly pandering to Baldwin at the end and trying to get any dig in at ESPN that's possible.

Carter responded by saying on ESPN after the game "I got cut."

I guess that takes care of that. Essentially, Carter wants to not be called out when one of his ridiculous statements is proven to be wrong on the field. I don't even know what to say to that – you work in an industry where you're paid to analyze sports. If you say something that turns out to be completely wrong, are we simply supposed to pretend it never happened?
