Mike Francesa vs Prank Callers is one of our favorite staples at AA, but now it's just taking a weird turn. A caller actually dialed up Mike Francesa's radio show as "Mike in Manhattan" and then played a recorded audio clip of Mike Francesa himself talking about the Yankees back to the host. It didn't take long for the real Mike to figure it out as he then shot down the mongo caller for trying to make him look like a fool.

But we're not done! Presumably the same person (Mike in Manhattan) also called former partner Chris Russo with a taped recording about the Mets. At least Russo had a laugh about the impromptu Mike & the Mad Dog reunion.

If you're wondering how anyone would get this idea, it's actually a bit that was stolen from another prank caller earlier this week to WFAN nighttime host Steve Somers. Someone called into Somers' show after they taped his own monologue and Somers had no idea. With their prank caller experience, you're going to have to work a bit harder to get one past Francesa and Russo.
