NBC's Olympic primetime coverage is still drawing large ratings, but the numbers are getting farther from Vancouver and closer to Torino.

The network hit an 11.7 overnight on Friday night, the lowest so far of the Sochi Games. That beat the previous low of 11.8 for the bonus coverage of the opening Thursday night of the games on February 6th. It still beat all other networks combined on Friday.

All that said, NBC was already seeing double digit drops for primetime from Vancouver. Thursday night drew a 14.4 rating, a 13 percent decrease from Vancouver. Wednesday's window managed a 13.3, but was down 31 percent from Vancouver. As always, to be fair, remember that most of Vancouver broadcast live, while the primetime show from Sochi is always on tape.

Both Wednesday and Thursday were above delayed primetime coverage from the 2006 Torino Olympics.

NBCSN has continued to soar, with Friday's coverage up 41 percent from the similar day during London's 2012 Games. You have to wonder what kind of highs the network will hit from today's buzzworthy USA-Russia shootout thriller in men's hockey.

That kind of speaks to what the games have been: exciting for cable, not so much on broadcast.
