It may not be baseball season, but two of Major League Baseball's official team Twitter accounts are in mid-season form.

The San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks are set to renew their rivalry in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday, and the MLB teams in those cities have decided to make it a little more interesting.

Here's how it started on Friday afternoon.

It didn't take long for a certain team to fire back.

Then things escalated to the "oh snap" stage.

The Mariners were clearly shaken by that retort and didn't respond, leading the Giants to suggest a wager.

That got the Mariners' attention and they accepted, bringing the Giants' mascot into the fray.

Lou Seal was not amused.

The Mariners apologized.

Meanwhile, the Giants came up with the other side of the bet.

We have a deal.

Lou Seal accepted the Mariners' apology and had a chirp of his own directed at his mascot adversary.

And he wasn't done.

With that, the NFC Championship Game stakes were raised. The game has more riding on it now than we could have ever expected. Will Lou Seal be forced to eat candy he doesn't like, or will Mariner Moose have to kiss his own arm?

We can't wait to find out.
