Not only do CBS and Turner have four networks broadcasting live games during the NCAA Tournament, they also have CBS Sports Network to use. The cable channel has constantly provided supplemental studio coverage of March Madness. That will continue to be the case for the 2014 tournament.
CBSSN kicks things off with NCAA March Madness Bracket Breakdown, which will basically serve as a pre- and post-game show to main CBS' actual reveal of the brackets. They'll broadcast for two hours each at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. ET. It'll feature analysis of the field and previews of the early games.
NCAA March Madness 360, which sounds like a video game I played in 2005, will complement CBS and Turner's coverage with pre- and post-game studio breakdowns, press conference, interviews and breaking news. The show will also go live from North Texas (the codephrase for "Dallas" when big events take place there) starting Friday, April 4th to preview the Final Four, offering live coverage of team practices.
CBSSN also has access to encores of games on CBS and the Turner networks.
The network's studio crew features hosts Adam Zucker, Brent Stover and Dana Jacobson. The analyst roster stars Wally Szczerbiak, Mateen Cleaves, Pete Gillen, Steve Lappas and Alaa Abelnaby. Insiders Gary Parrish and Jon Rothstein also contribute, and college coaches whose seasons unfortunately end a little early will join up as the tournament rides on.
