In what may emerge as the single biggest disappointment of the 2014 Winter Olympics, the home country Russia was eliminated from the Olympic hockey tournament in the quarterfinals after a 3-1 loss to Finland. Russian fans were whistling (the American equivalent of booing) their team's effort in the final minutes and it's now the third consecutive Olympics without a men's hockey medal for the country.
Amidst all the barbs from the west about all the insane ways in which Vladimir Putin will react to this embarrassing defeat, it's easy to forget that there are many dedicated Russian hockey fans in a deep depression right about now. There was at least one outlet that was able to handle Russia's loss with a very endearing kind of dark humor.
