Your Week 2 College Football Announcing Schedule

Written by Matt Yoder on .

With the NFL season kicking off, this week's slate of college games are a bit of a dropoff from opening week.  There's no games featuring two ranked teams and no ABC primetime game this week as Brent & Herbie call a 3:30 ET ESPN game - Texas A&M's SEC opener against Florida.  As far as primetime goes, Nebraska at UCLA (Fox) and Georgia at Missouri (ESPN2) are your top picks.  The fun gets started tonight with Pittsburgh travelling to Cincinnati for ESPN's Thursday night game, looking to rebound from getting beat handily at home by Youngstown State.  Jeah!  Big East!  Get your full Week 2 college schedule after the jump.

There is a mistake in your listing. You have two games at Central Michigan on Saturday. I know that the MAC has some wacky scheduling quirks, but I doubt this is one of them....

You have two games at Central Michigan listed, Illinois State at 1 p.m. and Michigan State at 3:30. Michigan State is correct.

@ScottYoshonis The 1 PM game should be Illinois State at Eastern Michigan. All the other information should be correct.

The game I'm interested in tuning into for a few minutes is that Texas Southern/ North Texas game on TXA21 and ESPN3. This will be Dave Barnett's first broadcast since he left the Texas Rangers team for he rest of the season after the strange, unusual comments about a runner being on fourth and a few other things.

This list took 17-hours to compile, often times using both teams Game Notes to make sure neither team listed any difference. The one team that did list a difference this week was Montana, which lists Dan Hammer, Tony Stein, and Danny Luetzen as calling the game for ESPN3. However I think it'll be difficult for them to call that game for ESPN3 considering they are calling the Portland State at North Dakota game for Midco Sports Net and Comcast Northwest at that very same time, so I used the broadcast team from Appalachian State's notes. In the case of the Game Notes not listing any broadcast team, I had to rely on ESPN Media Zone or contact the schools media relations person (Eastern Washington/ Washington State) to find out the broadcast team. Hopefully there won't be too many changes.

I do plan on adding additional online exclusive broadcasts here in the comments section. The main reason I don't feel we need to worry about listing them up on the main broadcast section is The Pammies are done mostly from games on TV. ESPN3 games are rotated through by ESPN Goal Line, so they do make it onto TV if only for small portions of the broadcasts. The same can't be said for most games on OVC Digital, Big Sky TV (which simulcasts the radio broadcast if the games aren't being produced on TV), and specific school streams (which also typically use a radio simulcast or use no call at all).
